Bidi technology uses different wavelengths for transmission and reception: 1310 nm and 1550 nm. It enables a full-duplex optical connection using a single single-mode fiber.
The transmission speed of up to 1.25 Gb/s is suitable for stable connections between Gigabit Ethernet devices, such as network switches, routers, or media converters with a compatible SFP port.
The Lanberg SFP Bidi A is a compact optical transceiver for creating a bidirectional network connection over a single single-mode optical fiber. Bidi technology separates data transmission and reception using different wavelengths, helping to conserve available fibers when building new optical infrastructure or expanding existing installations.
The module supports transmission speeds of up to 1.25 Gb/s for Gigabit Ethernet connections between compatible switches, routers, media converters, and other devices with an SFP port. The Simplex SC/UPC connector facilitates connection to common optical distribution systems, distribution panels, and telecommunications cabinets.
Important: Bidi modules operate only as a complementary pair, A + B. This A-version module must be paired with a B module at the other end of the link; connecting two modules of the same version will not work.
