Bidi technology uses different wavelengths for transmitting and receiving data. It enables bidirectional optical communication over a single-mode fiber and helps conserve available cabling capacity.
A transmission speed of up to 1.25 Gb/s supports a stable Gigabit Ethernet connection between network devices over distances of up to 20 km.
The module is equipped with a Simplex SC/UPC optical interface for easy connection to compatible single-mode optical links.
The SFP1-BIDI-SU module is designed to create a stable optical connection between network devices with a compatible SFP port. Bidi technology separates data transmission and reception using two different wavelengths, so a single-mode optical fiber is sufficient for bidirectional communication. This helps make efficient use of existing cabling when building or expanding network infrastructure.
The transmission speed of up to 1.25 Gb/s is suitable for connecting switches, routers, media converters, and remote distribution points. The Simplex SC/UPC connector facilitates connection to standard optical links terminated with an SC connector, for example in telecommunications cabinets and data installations.
Important: version A works only as a pair with the corresponding B module. Connecting two modules of the same A version will not work.
