SunSun CUV-655 UV-C lamp 55 W

The SunSun CUV-655 flow-through UV-C lamp with an output of 55 W helps keep pond water cleaner and clear without chemicals – it limits floating algae, bacteria, and other microorganisms. It is designed for ponds up to 65,000 L, supports a flow rate up to 8,000 L/h, and thanks to a stainless-steel reflector it increases the efficiency of UV-C radiation. Universal hose connectors 25/32/38/50 mm and a 5 m power cable for easier installation are included.

SunSun CUV-655 is a flow-through UV-C unit designed as part of a pond filtration system. UV-C radiation acts on the flowing water and destroys microorganisms that cause “green water”. The dead particles then clump into larger aggregates, which can be captured more easily by mechanical or biological filtration. The manufacturer states that with a correctly selected filtration system, the first visible results can be observed in approximately 14 days.

The internal design extends the contact time of water with the UV-C source and a stainless-steel reflector reflects unused rays back into the working chamber, increasing efficiency without the need for a stronger lamp. The symmetrical design allows the ports to be used as both inlet and outlet, so the unit can be adapted more easily to an existing setup. The housing made of durable plastics ASA and ABS is suitable for a pond environment.
